Turkish Airlines Didn't Refund the Money Even Though They Were Refundable Tickets
I booked round-trip tickets for five people from Ankara to Miami via Istanbul using the reservation code SCR. At the time of purchase, the total price was ₺130,000. To ensure that the return tickets could be fully refunded, I paid an additional ₺50,000 for an upper-class ticket (H class), bringing the total to ₺180,000. I specifically chose the 'fully refundable' option as shown in the attached image, and my Miami flight went smoothly. However, when I attempted to cancel the return flight, I was only offered a refund of approximately ₺5,000 for all five tickets. I contacted customer service and provided feedback, but I was told that the tickets could not be refunded. Please look at the marked area in the image I uploaded. Why is there an option to pay an extra ₺50,000 for a refundable ticket if it can't actually be refunded? The baggage and seat rights are the same regardless. This is misleading. I paid the extra ₺50,000 to ensure the tickets were refundable, but now the refund is only ₺5,000. You can see this screen by performing any ticket inquiry. If the tickets are non-refundable, then why does it say 'fully refundable'?
