Turkish Airlines Did Not Allow Me to Board My Flight
Hello, despite arriving on time for my flight on 29.03.2024 with reservation code UBYW8C scheduled for 09:15, I was not allowed to board. I was at the airport 45 minutes before the flight, but 40 minutes before departure, I was told I would not be allowed to board. I explained that I needed to be on this flight, that we had found a ticket at the last minute, and that there was an urgent medical situation involving my aunt's premature labor, which was high-risk, and I was her companion. However, the lady at the ticket counter scolded me with a dismissive attitude, saying 'Then you should have come earlier.' I am struggling to understand why I was not allowed to board a flight that was still 40 minutes from departure, especially under such difficult circumstances. I was directed to the sales office and given a ticket for the earliest connecting flight the next day. I ended up paying ₺2,600 for a ticket that was originally around ₺1,500, plus an additional ₺2,370.80. I am filing this complaint due to the inconvenience I experienced and request appropriate action to be taken.
