Turkish Airlines Denied Me to Board and I Experienced Inconvenience Due to It

On 23.07.2023, my family and I booked tickets with THY for the Istanbul-Zafer Airport flight and were present at the airport at the time of the flight. While waiting at the back of the queue at the gate, my sister left for a restroom break. Despite her return within 5 minutes, the gate agent told us to proceed or they would close the gate.

I pleaded, asking how I could leave my children behind or take them with me, but the agent insisted, asking if we were boarding or not, as they were closing the gate. Even though I asked for just 2 more minutes, the agent closed the gate, leaving us stranded with children and a baby. All this for just 2 minutes. We spent the next 3 hours struggling to get our luggage and dealing with various staff members.

There was no refund for the tickets or transfer to the next flight, despite receiving no service. I don't think I've ever experienced such a distressing day. However, when a flight is delayed, we wait for 1, 2, or even 3 hours with patience and respect. Don't we deserve just 3 or 5 minutes of humane treatment, THY?
