Turkish Airlines Damaged My Luggage but Rejected My Full Compensation Request
During my flight with Turkish Airlines in June 2023, my suitcase's wheel was completely broken and the zipper was torn. Until October 2023, I uploaded numerous documents, provided explanations, and obtained a report from Samsonite stating 'irreparable and requires this amount for a replacement suitcase' upon THY's request. Despite this, my messages and calls were ignored for months, with excuses such as 'overlooked,' 'busy,' and 'we will get back to you,' along with urgency records.
After four months, THY offered to reimburse me only a quarter of the amount stated in the report. The suitcase is irreparable, and a similar one cannot be purchased with that amount.
Don't say it would be different if I were an elite customer; I am already an Elite status customer.
I spent hours explaining my situation, yet this Star Alliance member airline is blatantly ignoring my rightful compensation and then trying to negotiate a cheap deal.
Turkish Airlines is unreliable.
