Turkish Airlines Damaged Luggage Compensation Through Consumer Arbitration

I flew with Turkish Airlines (THY) from Ankara to Izmir on June 16, 2023. I handed over my luggage in good condition, but received it with a broken wheel at the body connection. I had a 'damage report' prepared at the airport. On June 17, 2023, I reported the damage to THY. THY requested additional documents, which I sent. They requested more documents again, and I sent them. On June 30, 2023, THY decided to offer ₺364 in compensation... I rejected it.
I bought the medium-sized (75cm) luggage on March 24, 2023, at a discounted price of ₺949. THY's compensation offer of ₺364 was not acceptable, so I rejected it. After a re-evaluation, they made a new offer of ₺864 on July 13, 2023, which I also rejected.
I applied to the District Consumer Arbitration Committee related to my residence address on July 17, 2023. On August 12, 2023, the committee's expert saw the luggage and the documents. The report was sent to the committee, and on August 18, 2023, a defense was requested from THY.
On August 24, 2023, the Arbitration Committee decided that I should be compensated based on the market price of the luggage as of August 17, 2023 (market price ₺1499).
As a result, THY will pay ₺1311 after deducting the annual depreciation of the luggage.
My recommendation: If THY offers a low compensation, do not accept it and apply to the Consumer Arbitration Committee.
