Turkish Airlines Connecting Flight Issue

I want to talk about my experience with THY and the issues we faced with our money. Our flight TK2836 on July 14, 2023, from Izmir to Trabzon via Istanbul Airport was canceled by THY at 00:20 on July 14 due to unspecified 'force majeure' reasons. Because of this last-minute cancellation, we couldn't find any tickets to Trabzon or nearby areas with THY or any other airline. Since we had already taken our annual leave and couldn't cancel it, we had to accept a 22-hour bus journey from Izmir to Trabzon. We rescheduled our ticket for the TK2329 flight on August 11, 2023, from Izmir to Trabzon via Istanbul. Initially, the delay was announced as 20 minutes but was later revised to 45 minutes. The flight, scheduled to depart at 18:05, took off at 19:10, resulting in a 1-hour and 5-minute delay. Due to this delay, the food and beverage service could not be completed for passengers seated in the middle of the plane. The plane landed at Istanbul Airport at 19:57 and took 17 minutes to taxi. We disembarked at 20:14. Despite the plane being at the gate, all passengers were taken by bus and dropped off at 20:23. No transfer or assistance was provided for our next flight, which was scheduled to depart at 20:35. We had to run with our luggage for 8 minutes to reach the gate. When I informed the official at the last checkpoint about the situation, I was told that the plane had to take off and if we missed it, we could board the next flight. We had already checked for available flights when the delay occurred in Izmir and saw that all Istanbul-Trabzon flights were fully booked until 22:00 on July 15, 2023. At the last checkpoint, I mentioned that it was wrong for THY to subject passengers with connecting flights to such delays caused by a 1-hour and 5-minute delay. The official did not want to scan my mobile ticket with the control device insisted that I do it myself, and did not assist me when I couldn't do it. Our first flight, which we had scheduled for our annual leave, was canceled, and we faced all these problems on the second flight as well. We don't understand why they sell short-interval flights as connecting flights and do not facilitate passenger transfers to the next gate in an airport as vast as Istanbul Airport. Unfortunately, despite being a member of the so-called Star Alliance.
