My THY Miles and Smiles membership was unfairly canceled. I use Miles and Smiles cards from 3 different banks to earn miles, making my purchases with these cards, and even maintaining deposits to elevate my segment. I earn miles. The miles program states 'You can buy tickets for your friends with your miles,' so I buy tickets, but my account gets closed without any explanation. Additionally, even in the case of membership termination, my miles should remain active for 6 months, which they are not honoring.
When I asked, 'Why did you close my account?' they responded, 'You did not comply with the membership conditions,' but they couldn't specify which condition I violated. You receive payments from the bank for the miles I earn. I want to say, 'Just say you can't buy tickets with miles for others,' so I won't. But when I do, you close my account.
The people I bought tickets for did not pay because they didn't need to. THY, by reading intentions, confiscated approximately 700,000 miles from me. Even if it needed to be canceled, I should have been given 6 months to use those miles. We buy our tickets from THY even if they are expensive because we earn miles.
We frequently take people abroad voluntarily to help them. We earn miles from these ticket purchases, but when it comes to using the miles, they say, 'We closed your account.' The Miles and Smiles program should be a loyalty program, but it only serves to inconvenience customers. You might as well shut it down completely so both you and we can be at ease.
