Turkish Airlines Charged Double For Overweight Luggage
During my flight to Istanbul, an authorized person at the kiosks took my excess baggage and informed me that I could pay for it. I paid the lady who was operating the device. However, she refused to provide receipts, claiming that I was required to accept the bags in exchange for the payments I made. She said she could print these from the computer after I insisted. When she logged into the system, she noticed that only half of my payments were visible. I demand receipts or invoices for all payments made. If there was an error in the system and I was charged twice, I want a refund and receipts for the difference. I asked for assistance from ticket sales and was directed to the phone. They kept nagging me for feedback telling me to wait. Their system is a shamble. It's impossible to contact anyone; it's as if different departments within the company are at odds. When I mentioned their flawed system, they just assumed that's how it works. If this problem isn't resolved soon, I'll file a lawsuit against the company.
