I purchased round-trip tickets to Sharm El Sheikh for the period between May 31 and June 7. Based on these tickets, I made hotel reservations, domestic flight bookings, company leave arrangements, and hospital appointments. Today, I received an SMS informing me that my return flight has been canceled. A change to my ticket is being requested. If I postpone my ticket by one day, the hotel charges an additional fee of ₺7,000-8,000. Naturally, I requested Turkish Airlines to cover this cost. However, they informed me that they could not respond to this demand. As an alternative, I suggested staying at one of their partner hotels for that night, but this was also denied. Essentially, they expect me to either leave my vacation a day early, incurring an additional loss of ₺10,000-12,000, cover the accommodation costs myself due to the cancellation, or spend the night at the airport. I am being inconvenienced by Turkish Airlines, a globally trusted airline that I believed would not cause such issues. The only response I received was a flat refusal. I cannot accept this; everyone else can stay at Turkish Airlines hotels and receive compensation, but when it comes to me, they simply say, 'Sorry, we informed you.' This is unacceptable. I will be escalating this issue to all relevant authorities, the Consumer Arbitration Committee, and subsequently, the Consumer Courts to recover my expenses. I urgently need a response to plan accordingly, but I am not receiving any.
