Before purchasing, we contacted Turkish Airlines customer service to inquire if my wife's surname change after marriage would cause any issues. The response was to contact them after the surname change, and they would update the ticket accordingly. After completing our marriage registration, we called Turkish Airlines to update my wife's surname on the ticket, but they now claim that such a change is not possible. They are asking us to cancel our tickets and buy new ones at our own expense, even though the tickets were correctly issued with her maiden name at the time of purchase. Currently, the same tickets are being sold for nearly double the price we originally paid. Customer service mockingly suggested we pursue legal action to resolve the issue.
