Turkcell's Unjust Early Termination Fee After 6 Days

On September 20, 2025, I switched to a postpaid line through number portability at a Turkcell store in Sındırgı, Balıkesir. Only six days later, on September 26, 2025, I canceled my line at the same store. However, even though my bill had not yet been issued, I was informed that an early termination fee had been added to my account. According to Law No. 6502 on the Protection of Consumers, consumers have the right to withdraw within 14 days without providing any reason and without paying any penalty. I exercised this right by canceling on the 6th day, well within the legal period. Despite this, Turkcell has unfairly and unlawfully demanded an early termination fee. I have also reported the matter to Information Technologies and Communications Authority. I demand that this unjust fee be immediately canceled and refunded to me. Otherwise, I will take the matter to the Consumer Arbitration Committee and pursue legal action.
