Turkcell's Unjust Early Termination Charge
On July 31, 2025, I was informed by Turkcell customer service that if I transfer my mobile line to another operator, I would be charged an early termination fee of ₺2,500. However, my current plan is GNÇ Postpaid 20 GB – ₺650, and I do not benefit from any additional services, discounts, or special promotional packages. I have faced a similar situation in the past when a fee of ₺800 was charged without any clear explanation or resolution. This time, an even higher fee has been stated, yet no transparent breakdown or justification has been provided regarding how this amount was calculated. Moreover, I have noticed that many of my friends using Turkcell have larger data packages (such as 60 GB) at much lower monthly prices, which raises concerns about pricing inconsistency and possible customer discrimination. Therefore, I kindly request a detailed explanation of how the ₺2,500 early termination fee was determined and the cancellation of this unfair charge.

I have been using the Turkcell gnç 20 GB package for a long time and I pay my bills regularly. Recently, when I wanted to switch my line to another operator, I was faced with an exorbitant cancellation fee of 2600 TL. Previously, in a similar situation, a cancellation fee of 800 TL was requested. In addition, learning that other Turkcell customers using the same package pay much lower fees makes me think that this practice is unfair.
When I upgraded to a higher package, I was not informed in any way about a contract, commitment, or additional charges. When I contacted customer service by phone, I was first told that there were no call records, and then that the transaction was made through the mobile application. However, I have a 30-minute call recording and I know the time of the call. During the call, there was no information given about a contract fee or a high cancellation fee. The fact that a large company like Turkcell does not have call records and makes contradictory statements has disappointed me.
No solution was offered to remedy my grievance during this process. I request that the call recordings regarding the transactions made through my line with the number 05372721504 be examined, the cancellation fee be cancelled, and my grievance be resolved. I reserve my legal rights.
