TotalEnergies Station Repeatedly Locks Free Toilets and Forces Paid Use

On 31.05.2026 at around 19:40, I stopped by the TotalEnergies Antalya Gazipaşa Beyrebucak Çelikler Petrol station on the Mersin–Antalya highway. I saw that the doors of the toilets, which should be free of charge, were locked and that people needing the restroom were being forced to use a paid toilet. As I frequently use this route, I encounter the same situation almost every week. Although I have called customer service many times and filed repeated complaints, and each time I have been told “the situation is being followed, you will not face such a problem again,” the problem keeps recurring. I find it unethical to try to charge customers for such a basic need as the toilet, and I see this as a practice that does not suit the TotalEnergies brand. For this reason, I left the station without buying any fuel. I request that TotalEnergies ensure effective supervision at this station, put an end to the practice of locking toilets that are supposed to be free of charge, and guarantee that customers’ basic needs are met free of charge and in an accessible manner, and I invite the brand to take this matter seriously.
