Meta Threads Privacy Concerns Over Instagram Account Access
I have concerns about the trustworthiness of Meta’s Threads app.
The app gives the impression that it can access Instagram accounts without obtaining clear and explicit consent from users. It also creates the feeling that this access continues even when users do not comment or actively use the app. This makes me uncomfortable and raises concerns about security and privacy. While using Threads, I also find it strange that Instagram sometimes sends me very generic messages that seem as though they were intended specifically for me, even though they come from people I have no connection with.
