Threads Account Suspended Without Explanation or Clear Reason
On October 1, 2026, at around 8:00 PM, my Threads account was suspended for allegedly violating the Community Standards. Before this happened, I received a notification asking me to “prove that I am human,” and I was asked to provide my phone number and a photo showing my face. I provided all the requested information in full. I then received a message stating, “You have submitted an appeal. You cannot use your account for approximately one hour.”
After this process, when I tried to log back into my account, I was instead greeted with a notification stating that my account had been suspended. I was not given any information about which post, message, or action had led to the suspension. The Threads website only displays a generic notification stating that my account has been suspended, without providing any further details. However, I had not published anything on the platform. I had only one or two followers, followed a few accounts whose content I liked, and liked a handful of posts.
Meanwhile, the Account Status section of my linked Instagram account clearly states that my account complies with all rules and that there are no restrictions or violations. Despite this, my Threads account has been suspended, leading me to believe that an automated system may have incorrectly flagged my account. My Instagram/Threads username is “siyargoren,” and my registered email address is s*********@hotmail.com.
When I attempted to appeal the decision through the system, I received an automated response stating that my appeal had been rejected, with no explanation for the decision. Suspending my account without identifying any specific post or action that allegedly violated the rules, and without providing any concrete justification, is both unfair and damaging to my trust as a user.
I request that the decision concerning my account not be left solely to automated systems and that a human moderator conduct a manual review. I do not want to create a new account. I want Threads/Meta to clearly and thoroughly explain why my account was suspended and reinstate my Threads account, which I believe was unfairly suspended. I do not believe I have violated any rules, and to date, I have not been given a clear and specific reason for the suspension.
I request that my Threads account be reactivated and my access restored as soon as possible. Otherwise, I would like to make it clear that I am considering pursuing legal action to protect my rights.
