The Children's Place Refused To Release My Order Even With ID
On March 29, 2024, I placed an order online with The Children's Place and opted for in-store pickup at my nearest location. Unfortunately, I fell and injured my ankle two days ago. My foot is currently in a cast, and my doctor has advised me to avoid putting weight on it and standing for long periods for the next 15 days. Therefore, I gave my ID to a friend and asked them to pick up the order for me. Despite showing both my ID and their own, the store refused to release the package. Even after explaining my medical situation, they insisted that the customer had to be physically present to pick up the order. I called customer service, but they told me to resolve the issue with the store directly. The store manager was rude and unsympathetic. My friend even offered to FaceTime me so they could see my condition, but the manager refused. This is incredibly frustrating and discriminatory against people with disabilities. I simply want to receive the items I ordered, but The Children's Place is making it unnecessarily difficult.
