On August 31, 2021, I purchased a Swatch watch, reference number SUOB131, and I have used it very carefully ever since. However, in November 2025, my watch suddenly stopped working. I went to the Swatch store at Kayseri Forum Mall and had the battery replaced. About half an hour after the battery replacement, the watch stopped again, so I returned to the same store. This time, I was told that there was a malfunction, that the watch would be sent to the main service center for inspection, and that it would be repaired if the necessary part was available. After my watch was sent to the main service center, I received the following written response: “Due to the model year of your Swatch, the relevant spare part is no longer in stock and is unfortunately no longer being produced. There is no clear date regarding when production of the part will resume. For this reason, the technical service process cannot be completed.”
After receiving this response, I went back to the Forum Mall store, where the employee tried to close the matter by saying that I could now use the watch as an accessory. I did not buy this watch to use it as a decorative item or to throw it away. I chose a globally recognized and trusted brand like Swatch specifically because I expected to be able to find support and receive a solution-oriented approach if I ever experienced a problem. Despite this, the company has become unable to supply a spare part for a watch it produced within just four years, and it cannot even provide an estimated date for future production. This has completely shaken my trust in the brand.
After this experience, I do not plan to choose the Swatch brand again. Even though my warranty period has expired, I am requesting that my grievance be addressed for a product that has become unusable in such a short time due to the lack of spare parts. I am requesting that my old watch be replaced with a new one.
