Stayforlong Misled Me into Booking a 4-Star Hotel by Using 5-Star Photos
I made a reservation through Stayforlong, believing I had booked the five-star hotel with a specific name. However, when I arrived, I found out that the reservation was actually made at a four-star hotel with a nearly identical name, differing only by a small detail — the word “comfy” at the end. This subtle naming trick is easy to miss, especially when Stayforlong uses photos of the five-star location in the confirmation emails to deliberately mislead customers.
It feels intentional, as the listing clearly showed pictures of the five-star version of the hotel, and that's exactly what was emailed to me. But when I checked in, I discovered my reservation was for the less luxurious, four-star version. This is not just an honest mistake — it’s deceptive.
To be clear, my complaint is not about the hotel itself, but about Stayforlong’s misleading marketing tactics. I believe they are taking advantage of customers’ unfamiliarity with small name differences and using photos of higher-end properties to trick people into booking the wrong one.
