Stayforlong Created Duplicate Hotel Reservation and Charged My Card Twice
I made a reservation through the Stayforlong website for Cebeciler Hotel Trabzon for the dates March 14, 2026 – March 17, 2026, under my own name. However, after completing the transaction, I noticed that two separate reservations were created in the system for the same room.
The reservations are as follows:
Reservation number: 5HPB3Q – Security code: SFL-D88AEF56D3
Reservation number: KC2MCD – Security code: SFL-1F192CDDA4
Even though I only intended to reserve one room, a system error created two reservations, and it appears that my credit card was charged twice as a result. I have not checked into the hotel yet, and the stay has not taken place.
I request that the duplicate reservation be canceled and that the full payment for the extra reservation be refunded to me. I kindly ask that the duplicate charge be returned to my credit card as soon as possible.

Following Trivago's referral, I made a reservation for Cebeciler Hotel Trabzon through the Stayforlong website for the dates 14.03.2026 – 17.03.2026 in my own name. I completed the transaction on 11.03.2026 and, although I intended to book only one room, I noticed after the transaction that the system had created two separate reservations for the same room. The resulting reservations are numbered 5HPB3Q and KC2MCD.
I contacted a customer representative via Stayforlong's mobile app. Despite being verbally told that the extra reservation would be cancelled and the payment refunded, no refund has been made as time has passed, and the overcharged amount has not been credited back to my card. Moreover, no clear date was given for when the refund would occur.
When I arrived at the hotel, I stayed in a single room for three days, but my credit card was charged for both reservations, i.e., instead of 3,471 TRY, I was billed double—6,942 TRY. My research shows that many other users have experienced the same issue.
My request is that the duplicate reservation caused by the system error be cancelled and the full amount of 3,471 TRY associated with that reservation be refunded to my credit card as soon as possible. I ask that the double charge for a single‑room stay be corrected and my inconvenience be resolved.
