I Face $108 Charge From Smallpdf After Free Trial Ended Without Notice

I signed up on Smallpdf only to use the 1-week free trial with my email address. However, once the trial ended, without any prior notification or explicit confirmation, $108 was charged to my account.
I never used the Pro services, and as soon as I noticed the charge, I immediately canceled my subscription. When I requested a refund, the support team rejected my claim, simply stating that I had “accepted the terms.” This is misleading and amounts to unfair profit at the expense of consumers.
Despite contacting them multiple times, I only received automatic replies that ignored my situation. This behavior shows a lack of respect for customers and a system that tries to lock users into unwanted subscriptions. Because of this, I have already filed a chargeback request with my bank and am considering legal action.
I am calling on Smallpdf to take responsibility, refund the $108, and properly address this misleading practice. Charging such an amount for a “free trial” is unacceptable.
