On February 19, 2024, I purchased a pair of Skechers shoes directly from their official online store, not from a third-party seller. Within six months, the inner lining started tearing apart, making the shoes unwearable.
I took the shoes to the Kayseri Forum Skechers store for a warranty claim, but they refused to accept it because it was bought online. Instead, I had to submit an online claim, where they only asked for photos and quickly dismissed it, stating it was not a manufacturing defect—without even inspecting the shoes in person.
After taking the matter to the Consumer Arbitration Board, I won the case, but the store still refused to accept the product. When I contacted Skechers customer service, they told me to send the shoes along with the decision, but it’s still unclear if they will provide a replacement or a refund.
To make matters worse, the store claimed they would only refund the purchase, not exchange it, which I do not accept. I want a replacement product of equal value, not just my money back.
This entire process has been an absolute disappointment. Skechers is clearly not standing behind their products, and based on other complaints, the quality of Skechers in Turkey seems significantly lower. I will never buy from them again, as I’ve had better quality shoes from local markets.
