I purchased a pair of Skechers D'Lites shoes just 7 months ago, and they are already showing significant wear and tear. The inner lining is wearing out, and there’s a hole forming in the front of the shoe. When I sent them in for an exchange, I was told that the damage wasn’t due to a manufacturing defect but was caused by me, with absurd claims like "you must have been stepping on the heel." I never step on the heel of my shoes—this is ridiculous! I’ve bought several pairs of Skechers before and have never encountered an issue like this. Naturally, I expected them to stand behind their product and offer assistance.
To add to my frustration, the customer service representative I spoke to didn’t seem to know how to listen to a customer. I paid a high price for these shoes and couldn’t even wear them for a year, yet I’m being told things like "you wore them too much" or "you stepped on the heel." I can’t believe it, and I’m extremely angry. If necessary, I will take this to every authority, including the Consumer Court. If I need to fight for this, I will.
