I bought a pair of Skechers shoes, and after just 8 months of normal use, a 10 cm tear appeared on the side of the shoe. I submitted the product for inspection under the warranty, fully expecting the issue to be recognized as a manufacturing defect. Instead, I was told it was due to user error, and my claim was rejected.
What makes this worse is that a friend of mine owns the exact same model, and his shoes tore in the exact same spot. This clearly points to a flaw in the shoe’s design or materials, not how it’s being used.
I’m extremely disappointed. After this experience, I will no longer buy from Skechers, nor will I recommend them to anyone. If a brand can’t stand behind its products when there’s obvious evidence of a recurring defect, it doesn’t deserve customer loyalty.
