Sixt Rent A Car, Misleading Statement, Additional Fees
On February 1st, 2023, I rented a car from Sixt Rent-a-Car and immediately began to regret the decision. I plan on visiting the prosecutor's office and the consumer protection division first. They made me wait days for my bill and blamed a computer glitch. Since the entire corporation will soon be under state control, it can no longer deceive its customers in this way. They lowered the price they had originally quoted. Instead of a high-end car, they gave us an ancient Egea. The vehicle had a flat tire. They claimed it was a simple reset, but the tire began to come loose on the highway. The car's oil maintenance light was on, exhaust fumes were seeping in, and my sleeping companion and I would have been fatally poisoned if we had dozed off. We were charged for extra miles after purchasing them and extending the rental period. After returning the car, I rented another car from a different company, which was also automatic and brand new and beautiful, but cost only half as much as the Sixt rental I had just returned. Just to recap, I paid almost 800 TL per day to rent an old, broken, and filthy car from the Sixt company.
