Shell Market Refused to Exchange Wrong Cigarette Despite Their Mistake

On November 31, 2024, I was in Antalya Döşemealtı, where I often visit. Today, a friend of mine was checking out the bakery section at Hilmi Beken. I had a heart attack three years ago, and I have two stents in my heart. Since I don’t smoke, I offered to buy a cigarette for my friend. I specifically asked for "Parliament Slim," but the cashier—a man and a woman—gave me a different cigarette. I paid for it and handed it to my friend in the bakery section, only for him to say, “I don’t smoke this brand.” I turned around and said, “Excuse me, this isn’t Parliament Slim. Could you please exchange it?” I wish I hadn’t asked. The scolding I got, the lecture in front of everyone—they said they threw away the receipt, that exchanges and refunds weren’t allowed. Even though I said, “It was your mistake,” I left feeling deeply humiliated. I told them, “I’ll be filing a complaint about this.” Please check the records; I do not forgive them for any of this. I left the cigarette there and walked out.
