Missing Gift Items in My Sephora Order

I recently purchased a lip product from Sephora that was advertised to come with three complimentary items. I also added a lip liner to my order, which was clearly visible during the payment process and in my order details. These additional items were labeled as gifts. However, once my order was shipped, the tracking section showed no trace of these gift items. Today, I received my order, but to my disappointment, there were absolutely no gift items included. If such an inconvenience is going to occur, why doesn't Sephora arrange the order accordingly? When I made the purchase and paid for it, those gift items were clearly displayed. How is it possible for such a change to happen afterward?
