Samsung Refuses to Fix Panel Issue on My 58TU7000 TV Out of Warranty
On March 15, 2021, I purchased a Samsung 58TU7000 58 "146 Screen 4K Crystal UHD TV. We bought our television by paying approximately 4 times more than its equivalents and trusting Samsung, which claims to be the best-selling television brand in the world, and which we used very little, but it developed a panel failure before the 4th year was up. As a result of my research, I realized that this was a chronic failure and that there were many users in a similar situation. In addition, while our other 2 televisions that we bought more than 10 years ago for a very reasonable price were still working without any problems, this television that we bought with so much trust was a serious disappointment. I want a brand that I love to use to resolve this grievance of mine. Such a faulty product does not suit a well-established company at all. Since this is a manufacturing defect, even if the warranty period has expired, as stated in the decision of the Supreme Court of Appeals Civil General Assembly dated 12/03/2020 and numbered 2017/13-650, Decision 2020/301; 'Even if the device has become unusable due to a serious defect after the warranty period has expired and the limitation period has passed, the consumer can exercise their rights.' If the product sold is defective, there are optional rights specified in Article 11 of the Consumer Protection Law No. 6502. If my grievance in this regard is not resolved as soon as possible, I will apply to the Consumer Arbitration Committee and, if necessary, the Consumer Court. Since free repairs are provided to other users whose warranty periods have expired, I want to be treated the same.
