On August 17, 2025, I purchased a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 from the Media Markt store. On December 11, 2025, the phone first developed a separation in the folding area. Shortly after, a spreading effect similar to ink leakage appeared from that section, and within a short time, the screen turned completely black and became unusable.
After the malfunction occurred, I took the phone to Media Markt on December 12, 2025, and it was sent to the authorized service center under warranty. However, in the service response, it was stated that the screen failure was outside the warranty due to an alleged impact on the outer casing, and I was asked to pay $495 for a screen replacement.
The real issue I experienced is the spontaneous separation at the folding area, followed by screen distortion that spread and rendered the entire display unusable. I do not accept that a product like this should fail in such a short time and in this manner. Under the process tracked with product record form number T048-36886-R-CD, I request that my screen failure be evaluated within the scope of the warranty, that the $495 screen replacement fee be canceled, and that a free screen replacement be provided. If this is not possible, I request a product replacement or a full refund. I expect both Samsung and Media Markt to resolve this issue quickly and permanently.
