I purchased my Samsung UE58TU7000 TV about 4.5 years ago from Media Markt Emaar. Despite such a short usage period, the television developed a serious panel failure and display problem. Since August 30, 2025, the TV has been completely unusable — the screen no longer works, and the device will not power up properly.
When I contacted Samsung customer service, they confirmed that the issue was not caused by user error. Still, they quoted an unreasonable repair fee of ₺21,000 for panel replacement. The TV is no longer under warranty, and I did not purchase an extended warranty. However, it is unacceptable that a product in this price range would suffer such a major breakdown in less than five years. A television’s expected lifespan should be far longer.
This experience has caused me to lose all trust in Samsung. I have been a loyal customer, but this failure and the lack of accountability have convinced me never to buy or recommend Samsung again. Charging nearly the price of a new TV to repair a product that failed prematurely is not fair treatment of consumers.
I demand that Samsung cover the full panel replacement at no cost to me, given that this is a clear product defect and not the result of misuse. If Samsung does not provide a fair solution, I will pursue all legal rights available to me.
