I Face Screen Failure and Overpriced Repair on Samsung UE75NU8000T TV

I have been using my Samsung UE75NU8000T TV for six years without any issues. Then, while watching as usual, the screen suddenly went completely black and never recovered. I was told it is a panel failure, but no one could clearly explain the root cause of the problem.

When I contacted Samsung service, the repair cost they quoted was shocking: it was actually ₺250 more expensive than buying a brand-new TV of the same size directly from Samsung’s own website at the time. To make matters worse, the technician admitted that the part was not in stock, would take weeks to arrive, and even remarked that “you might as well buy a new one at that price.”

This raises serious doubts about Samsung’s practices. It feels like instead of fulfilling the 10-year spare parts supply obligation, they are deliberately quoting excessively high repair prices to push customers into purchasing new devices.

A premium brand like Samsung should not produce a TV that becomes unusable in such a short period, nor should it fail to provide affordable spare parts. This experience has left me with a non-functioning TV and the impression that Samsung is shifting the cost of their product’s chronic issues onto the consumer.

I request a reasonable repair solution or full panel replacement at a fair cost. Customers deserve transparency and accountability, not inflated repair prices that make replacement the only option.
