Trip.com Neglects Multi-Leg Flight Delays and Unprocessed $1,019 Refund
I am experiencing severe distress as a result of purchasing my flight tickets through Trip.com. On my first flight on August 31, 2026—a Gulf Air connection to Singapore via Bahrain—I was kept waiting for approximately 7 hours due to a check-in cancellation, and ultimately, it was impossible for me to obtain a ticket cancellation refund for this ordeal.
Regarding my second flight on September 3, 2026, from Singapore to Phuket, I received no refund whatsoever, even though the option for a money-back refund was explicitly stated during purchase. The app interface shows total transactions amounting to $1,019 across the Singapore–Phuket and Istanbul–Bahrain–Singapore routes; despite this, no reimbursement was executed.
On my third flight on September 9, 2026, covering the Phuket–Abu Dhabi–Istanbul route, my flight was delayed by roughly 7 hours. The notification email sent directly from Etihad Airways confirms that my flight EY415 from Phuket to Abu Dhabi on September 9, 2026, was delayed by 6 hours and 55 minutes, severely compromising my layover connection. This delay threw all my plans into chaos, and I am still trying to rebook my flight.
When attempting to reach Trip.com regarding all these issues, I am unable to connect with customer support. Despite being told for hours "wait, we will resolve it," no concrete action is taken, no one attends to the matter, and I can find no accountable support representative. Even though I paid a significant total sum for my flights, the promised refunds and assistance were never delivered.
I demand the resolution of these grievances, full payout of the refunds owed to me, and complete transparency regarding support communication failures. Furthermore, I demand that a proper investigation be conducted to ensure other passengers do not suffer similar hardships.
