Trip.com and Pegasus Airlines Deflect Blame Over Unprocessed $62 Flight Refund

On December 25, 2025, I purchased an international flight ticket operated by Pegasus Airlines via Trip.com. I subsequently converted this ticket into an open-dated flight due to medical reasons, and I eventually redeemed this open credit for a domestic round-trip stay: departing from Sabiha Gökçen Airport to Rize Airport on August 11, 2026, and returning from Rize Airport to Sabiha Gökçen Airport on August 19, 2026. Following these two flights, I was informed that I would receive a refund consisting of two separate portions of approximately $31 each, totaling roughly $62.

However, this refund never materialized. Pegasus points to Trip.com for the refund, while Trip.com redirects me back to Pegasus. Because I completed the rebooking for the domestic flights directly through Pegasus, I also contacted Pegasus separately during this process, yet the issue remained unresolved. Emails sent to me state that because the original ticket was purchased through an agency, I must contact the agent for refund processing; meanwhile, Trip.com sends notifications regarding my reservation and refund request without ever executing a concrete payout.

Despite requesting the completion of this refund repeatedly since August 20, 2026, I have achieved no results. As a consumer, I refuse to be victimized by finger-pointing between two companies, and I demand that my total refund of approximately $62 be processed immediately to resolve my hardship. Following these experiences, I do not intend to use Pegasus or Trip.com ever again, nor will I recommend them to anyone.
