On October 11, 2025, I experienced a shut-off issue with my Samsung Z Flip 4 when folding the device. I took it to the Samsung service center in Sancaktepe under the service number 4289525250 and waited for a response. On October 13, 2025, I received an SMS stating that the repair would cost ₺13,870. I called the service center to understand the issue. They told me that my device had not been dropped, exposed to water, or physically damaged, and that the screen was not displaying any image — which was incorrect, as my screen was functioning perfectly fine.
I disputed the claim, explaining that since there was no user error, this must be a manufacturing defect and that I should not be charged for the repair. The service center advised me to contact Samsung’s main office. I did so and was transferred to the Samsung Resolution Center, which later called me back. I was again told that there was no user damage or external impact, but that the phone “had no display.” After I insisted and pressed further, they said they would discuss the matter with the service center and get back to me.
On October 14, 2025, the Resolution Center called again, this time claiming that the device had been “exposed to pressure,” causing “pixel damage on the display,” and that it was therefore a user-related issue. However, this statement is completely false — my phone’s screen works perfectly and displays clearly without any defect. When I went to retrieve my device from the service center, I tested it on-site, and everything functioned normally despite their earlier claim that it “didn’t turn on” or “show an image.”
I asked to speak directly with the technician who made this false report, but I was told that wasn’t possible and that I could only pursue the matter through Samsung Headquarters or the Consumer Arbitration Committee. I cannot understand such inconsistency from a global brand like Samsung.
I am requesting that the manufacturing-related defect in my device be repaired free of charge, as this is clearly not the result of user damage.
