I Can’t Use My Samsung Gear VR with S7 Anymore—Support Suddenly Ended

I’ve been using my Samsung Gear VR headset with my Galaxy S7 Edge for years, and I specifically kept the phone because of its VR compatibility. But now, to my surprise and frustration, the headset no longer works—and after some research, I’ve learned that Samsung has completely ended support for Gear VR with the S7 series.

This means my S7 Edge, Gear VR, and all my VR apps are now basically worthless. I invested in this setup for the long term, believing Samsung would continue to support their own devices. But now I’m left with obsolete hardware and no alternative.

Why did Samsung sell and promote a product it had no intention of supporting long-term? If there’s no app or platform support, the product shouldn’t have been sold in the first place. This feels like a complete abandonment of loyal customers.

I cannot share my personal information on a public platform. I have reported the issue. There are many complaints about the same problem. Everyone is waiting for the issue to be resolved.
