My Salomon Speedcross 6 Was Approved for Exchange but Store Demands Extra Payment
On April 1, I purchased a pair of Salomon Speedcross 6 shoes from Kotteks Van. After just one week of use, the product began to come apart. I returned it to the store on April 17, and the brand approved the exchange under warranty.
However, despite this official approval, the Van-based retailer is now demanding that I pay the price difference for the exact same model. This makes no sense—I shouldn't have to pay more for a warranty-approved exchange.
Worse yet, a staff member named A* treated me in a disrespectful and dismissive manner, saying, “You can go to the Consumer Arbitration Board, nothing will happen. At most, you’ll just come back and take your money.”
This is not how customers should be treated, especially when they're already dealing with defective merchandise. I feel wronged and disrespected.
If my issue isn’t resolved immediately, I will pursue this through legal channels. Also, due to the unprofessional attitude of the employee, I will never shop at that store again.
