My Salomon X Ultra 4W Shoes Wore Out in One Summer and Warranty Denied

I purchased a pair of Salomon X Ultra 4W women's sneakers, and despite using them for only one summer, they’ve already suffered extensive damage. The inner rear sections and the upper surface of both shoes are badly worn out, far beyond what should happen under light use.
I’m a public employee who drives to work and spends most of the day in a government office—these shoes were never exposed to rough terrain or overuse. How does a product from a brand like Salomon degrade this badly after just one season of everyday wear?
When I requested a replacement under warranty, my claim was rejected without a proper explanation. The response was vague and dismissive, providing no real justification.
If Salomon doesn’t trust its own product quality, why offer a 2-year warranty at all? And if you do, why not stand behind it when customers genuinely need support?
