I Face an Unfair Cabin Baggage Fee on Ryanair — Charged 150€ for 1 cm Size Difference

I Face an Unfair Cabin Baggage Fee on Ryanair — Charged 150€ for 1 cm Size Difference

On August 2, 2025, during my Ryanair flight from Sofia to Bari, with reservation reference number HUY4QQ, I was forced to pay an additional fee of 150€ (75€ per person for two passengers) during boarding. The fee was charged because our cabin bags were allegedly 1 cm taller than the allowed limit. However, there was no clear information or warning provided during the ticket purchase process or anywhere else indicating such a penalty policy.

We believe this situation was unfair and unjustified. Although we contacted Ryanair customer service afterward, we did not receive any positive response or solution. A payment receipt was issued to us at the time of the incident.

I request a full refund of the 150€ charged for the cabin baggage, as it was an unreasonable and uncommunicated fee that caused unnecessary distress to passengers.
