I Was Overcharged for Braun Epilator and Misled About Revlon Gift at MediaMarkt

On February 10, I purchased a Braun epilator from Torium MediaMarkt. After deciding to buy the product, I was told it came with a Revlon styling tool as a free gift. However, they ended up charging me for the “gift” using a coupon instead of giving it as promised. A gift should be free—using a coupon to offset the cost is misleading. If a coupon was applied, it should have reduced the price of the Braun epilator directly.
Just two days later, I noticed on MediaMarkt’s website that the actual price of the Braun product wasn’t ₺17,000 as I had paid, but ₺14,500. When I called customer service, they claimed the in-store price was valid and “non-discounted,” even though the online listing clearly showed a lower price. I asked for a refund based on the price discrepancy but was denied, allegedly because epilators are not eligible for return. They only agreed to take back the Revlon product.
Customer service opened a return case and instructed me to visit the store with my card and receipt. But when I arrived, a staff member named T**** first told me the refund would be processed upon return of the Revlon product. The next day, I was told a refund couldn’t be issued due to the pricing.
I have screenshots proving the price difference and that the Revlon product was sold to me under the pretense of a gift. I demand the price difference and the coupon amount be refunded to my card immediately. If I don’t receive a resolution promptly, I will file an official complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Board and submit all supporting documents.
