I Received a Faulty Revlon 3-in-1 Hair Styler with Burn Smell and Used Brush Heads
I purchased the Revlon 3-in-1 Hair Styler from Revlon Hair Tools Türkiye via Trendyol. When it was delivered, I opened it for the first time today to test it out—and immediately noticed serious issues. The attachment heads didn’t lock in place properly, the motor emitted a strong burning smell, and the performance was nowhere near what the product promised. Even worse, the brush heads looked bent and worn, as if they had already been used.
I reported the issue to Trendyol right away, but they dismissed my complaint, claiming it was user error because I had opened the box. That logic makes no sense—how else was I supposed to test the product or detect a defect without opening it?
I paid ₺4000 for this product, and I expect it to work flawlessly and be brand new—not damaged, underperforming, or previously used. If this issue is not resolved promptly, I will file a formal complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Board.
Revlon and Trendyol need to take accountability. I demand either a full refund or a replacement unit in proper, unused condition immediately.
