I Can’t Return My Revlon Hair Styler Despite Media Markt’s Promise to Accept It

I bought a Revlon hair styler from Media Markt and had concerns about its performance from the start. Before completing the purchase, I specifically asked the customer representative if I could return the device if I wasn't satisfied with how it worked. I was clearly told “Yes, you can return it if you don’t like the performance.” Based on this assurance, I went ahead with the purchase.
However, when I later tried to return the product—because it didn’t meet my expectations—Media Markt rejected my return request and sent the product back to me. I explained that the only reason I purchased it was because their staff gave me the green light for a performance-based return, but they refused to take responsibility for the misinformation.
Instead, they simply said the employee would be “warned” and offered no solution for my financial loss. As someone who lives on minimum wage, this isn’t just about a product—it’s about misleading promises that wasted my money. I now have a product I can’t use and no way to get my money back.
I request that Media Markt take full responsibility, honor the promise their employee made, and process my refund immediately.
