Ray Insurance Exploiting Earthquake-Stricken Hardship and Abuse of Rights

Following my client's spouse's tragic traffic accident, I filed a financial compensation lawsuit against Ray Insurance due to their deprivation of support. My client, left without her spouse, now supports not only herself but also their four children, mother-in-law, and father-in-law. The policy limit for which the defendant's insurance company is responsible is 1,200,000 Turkish Lira. According to the calculations made under the law, the compensation my client is entitled to far exceeds this limit. My client, who resides in Hatay, has suffered greatly as her house was destroyed in the aftermath of an earthquake. Taking my client's hardship into account, we initiated settlement negotiations with Ray Insurance's attorney. After a discussion between Ray Insurance's attorney and their headquarters' representatives, we received an offer based on the policy limit of 1,200,000 TL and its accessories. Although we requested revisions in some areas, the offer inexplicably reduced the primary compensation from 1,200,000 TL to 850,000 TL. In response to this unexpected reduction, we contacted Ray Insurance's attorney again. When we inquired about the reason for this reduction, Ray Insurance officials stated that they would need to consult with their headquarters and present another offer. After some time had passed, the primary compensation was further reduced to 745,000 TL. Upon contacting Ray Insurance's attorney again to understand the reason for this reduction, the attorney explained that Ray Insurance, as a publicly traded company, did not want to make a cash outflow. Here, I would like to emphasize a few things in your presence. My client, after the death of her spouse, is living with her four children, mother-in-law, and father-in-law. Their house in the earthquake-prone region of Hatay has been destroyed. She is facing even more challenging days with her children starting school and educational expenses accumulating. The compensation my client is entitled to, as accepted by Ray Insurance, has been reduced senselessly and maliciously, nearly halving the policy limit amount. People insure their vehicles to ensure that in the event of an accident, the rightful claimant's suffering is alleviated. Ray Insurance's failure to fulfill their responsibility and prolonging the process is only exacerbating the hardship my client, whose house was destroyed in an earthquake-prone region, is experiencing. I bring this to the attention of you, our valued readers.

I spoke with the legal department of Ray Insurance. They said that we are in the right regarding the matter. I mentioned that my client's grievance is increasing day by day. They stated that they would make an assessment regarding the issue. However, they did not get back to me within the specified time, nor did they respond to my calls.
