My Prada Gift Return Denied. Store Credit Offered Instead of Refund

Hello, on June 20, 2024, I purchased a bracelet from a Prada store as a birthday gift for my father. When I gave it to him the following weekend, he stated that he wouldn't want to use this product at all and didn't request an exchange. On the morning of June 24, I went to the store to return the item, but they informed me they could only offer store credit. However, as a customer, I wanted to exercise my right of withdrawal. I don't intend to shop at this particular store for myself, so I don't want to accept store credit.
I request that appropriate action be taken to address this issue.
