I purchased a pair of Prada sunglasses on April 30, 2022, and have loved wearing them nearly every day since. I was assured that the sunglasses came with a 3-year warranty. However, the frame started peeling, which became quite bothersome visually. Since the warranty was still valid, I took the sunglasses to another optical store in May 2024, bringing everything with me—box, warranty papers, receipt—and explained the issue to the staff member (whose name I can’t recall, and who has since left the job). He said he would contact the company and that it might take about 30 days for a response.
After about 7-8 days, he got back to me, stating that the company said no action could be taken because the warranty had expired and that Prada was currently in the process of changing distributors, which was causing some confusion. This response is disappointing, especially for a premium brand like Prada. I had even taken these sunglasses to a Prada store in Milan, Italy, during my trip, and they fixed the screws without any documents. I was promised a 3-year warranty from the start, and now I can’t use the sunglasses I love because of the peeling. The company has dismissed my issue in an unprofessional manner, and I am extremely dissatisfied. I no longer intend to use your brand and will switch to a company that stands behind its products and values its customers.
