GCash Refund Request for an Unrecognized Starread Technology Charge

I am writing to report an unauthorized payment made from my GCash account via the regular GCash app to Starread Technology Limited in the amount of 699 PHP on 26 October 2026. I did not authorize this transaction and I have never knowingly signed up for any purchase or subscription with this merchant. I only became aware of the issue when I checked my GCash transaction history and saw the charge to Starread Technology Limited. The unauthorized payment appears in my account with the reference or transaction ID 418832999. I am the only person who has access to my phone and to my GCash account, and I have never shared my PIN, OTP, or any login details with anyone else. This makes it very concerning that a payment like this could be processed without my knowledge or consent. On 26 October 2026, as soon as I noticed the transaction, I contacted GCash support and tried to follow the instructions they provided. However, the steps they described do not match what I actually see in the app on my end, so I have not been able to complete their process or resolve the issue through their guidance. I am using my GCash account in Calapan City, Philippines, and I kindly request a full refund of the 699 PHP charged to Starread Technology Limited. I also request a detailed investigation into how this transaction was processed without my authorization and that my account be thoroughly checked and secured so that similar unauthorized payments cannot occur in the future.
