Defective Philips Azur Iron with False Promises!

I purchased a Philips Azur iron from Media Markt. I was in the middle of ironing when the steam shut off unexpectedly because the steam trigger became stuck. Furthermore, the soleplate turned black even when ironing clothes using the recommended settings, despite the company's assurances that it was made of non-stick ceramic. My warranty has ended because I bought it more than two years and two months ago. Media Markt turned me down when I asked for technical support, saying that my warranty had long since expired. I don't understand how Philips, a company with such a stellar reputation, can release such low-quality products without rigorous testing. As a result of the company's carelessness, I am requesting that my rights be respected.
