Pegasus Airlines Claim When One Suitcase Wets On The Way, It's Not Covered
Last week we returned home on a flight from Vienna to Istanbul. While we were waiting at the conveyor to pick up our luggage, we realized that all the suitcases were wet. When the suitcase arrived, we got suspicious and tried to open the suitcase and saw that the zippers were not in the lock mechanism. The reason was that one of the zippers of the suitcase came out of its slot; they pulled the unbroken zipper to the other side so that the suitcase would remain closed. We saw that the items etc. inside were soaked to the skin. The Pegasus official we contacted at the terminal about the condition of our suitcase took photos of the suitcase and the luggage tag and handed us a document, saying "you will make your application online, when you send pictures etc., they will be compared with these photos I took, if the files are appropriate, your application will be accepted". At night, we took our suitcases home so as not to deal with it anymore. At home, we found that our other suitcase was also seriously wet. The next day, I called the company on the phone. I explained the situation to the person on the other end in all clarity, but he hung up the phone, saying "Pegasus only carries clothes, the condition of the other items is up to you", as emotionless as a wall. In my subsequent research, I confirmed that they only carry clothes in the information they publish on the company's website, also in the "Information about Baggage Disruptions" section: 9.6.10. Pegasus does not accept any responsibility for damage to checked baggage caused by the following reasons: b) Slight dampness, wetting; written as. The condition of the items in our suitcase did not fall under the above-mentioned "slight dampness, wetting", if the expression is correct, they were soaked to the skin. In addition, several boxes of tea, books and boxes of biscuits etc. in the suitcase were unusable. I decided to add this complaint here to warn those who are Pegasus customers. If you are going to use this airline, if you are going to carry anything other than clothes, put it in the cabin. Also, if your suitcase gets wet or broken, you will buy a new one because Pegasus does not cover these.
