Domino’s Marks Order as Delivered Without Delivery

On January 20, 2026, at around 9:00 PM, I placed a pizza order through the Yemeksepeti platform from the Domino’s Pizza Mecidiyeköy branch. Approximately one hour after placing the order, a courier from the branch called me and demanded that I come down to the street within five minutes, claiming that they could not find a parking spot or locate the vehicle and would otherwise be unable to deliver the order. I clearly refused this request, after which the courier said, “In that case, we are canceling the order,” and hung up. I also confirmed that I accepted the cancellation.

However, when I checked the Yemeksepeti app at around 11:30 PM, I saw that the order status was still shown as “On the way” and had not been canceled. When I contacted Yemeksepeti customer service, I was informed that the Domino’s Pizza Mecidiyeköy branch had marked the order as “Delivered.” I then contacted Domino’s Pizza customer service, where an employee from the Mecidiyeköy branch named Şahinbey claimed that they could not find a parking spot, could not see the vehicle, and therefore had left the pizza at the entrance of my apartment building.

Immediately after this statement, I reviewed the security camera footage from the entrance and surrounding areas of my apartment building. The recordings clearly show no delivery courier, no delivery vehicle, and no pizza package left at the entrance. Despite this, the order amount was charged to my card, no product was delivered, and no refund or apology has been provided so far. This situation goes beyond a simple service failure and constitutes deliberate and conscious misconduct. The fact that the order was falsely marked as delivered and that such an explanation was given by the employee Şahinbey raises serious concerns about intentional deception and abuse of customer trust. I request that the full order amount be immediately refunded to my card without any further delay, that an internal investigation be conducted by Yemeksepeti and Domino’s Pizza regarding the Mecidiyeköy branch and the employee named Şahinbey, and that I be informed in writing of the outcome and any measures taken.
