I have a 2017 Opel Astra with a diesel engine and automatic gearbox, and the timing chain is making an annoying noise. It appears to be a common problem with Opels, and mechanics and private service centers are advising a timing chain replacement, which would cost me around 12,000 TL. I did some research and found that this is a manufacturing defect. It appears that many other Opel Astra owners have experienced the same issue, which is caused by a flaw in the factory manufacturing process. I'm really fed up with this problem, and I don't think I should have to pay for it. I believe Opel should accept responsibility and fix the problem for free. I mean, I didn't do anything to cause the problem. It's simply a faulty part that needs to be replaced. I'm hoping Opel will do the right thing and fix this problem without charging me a fortune. It's unbelievably heartbreaking to have such a new car with such a major flaw.
