On April 4, 2024, I purchased the Nike Mercurial Zoom Vapor 16 Pro FG cleats for 7,200 TL from the Barçın Nike store in Buyaka. I only used the product while playing football on a proper grass field. Within the first month, during the 3rd use, one stud broke, and by the 5th use, two more studs broke. In total, I was only able to wear the cleats 5–6 times, and I never used them for any other purpose.
I took the product back to the store to request a refund or exchange. After about 20 days of inspection, I was told it was “user error,” and my request for a refund or exchange was rejected. I also contacted Nike customer service, but they similarly stated that there was no production or material defect and that the problem was my fault. However, this product is designed specifically for football, and the fact that such a serious issue occurred in such a short time, under proper conditions, is unacceptable.
I was told the product had a 1-year warranty, and I paid 7,200 TL for it. I cannot accept that a product I could only use for 1 month is deemed free of manufacturing or material defects. I demand either a replacement product or a full refund.
