I purchased a pair of New Balance 9060 black sneakers for my spouse about a year ago from the SuperStep online store, expecting high performance and durability for the price. However, our experience has been nothing short of disappointing. Despite being worn only 10–15 times and treated with extreme care, the suede sections of the shoe began to change color, developing an ugly greenish hue. No chemicals or cleaning agents were ever used—yet the black suede still discolored. To make things worse, the inner rear heel on the left shoe ripped, which is completely unacceptable for a product in this price range.
We didn’t buy a green shoe—we bought black and wanted it to remain that way. Paying nearly ₺ for a premium product, we expected longevity and quality. Instead, we got a shoe that looks worn out after light, careful use. When we submitted it for inspection, our request for an exchange or return was rejected with the generic response that it wasn’t a manufacturing defect.
I find this unacceptable and expect New Balance or SuperStep to take accountability. I either want a full refund or a replacement in a more stable color that won’t fade. The condition of this shoe does not reflect the quality New Balance claims to deliver, and customers deserve better.
